The Last Tuesday Treat of April will be a Search and Recover Special! Listeners will decide between two classic songs; we’ll search out an hour’s worth of covers of the winner for Wonderland’s April 26th show.
One choice is Fever, written by Eddie Cooley and Otis Blackwell and first recorded by Little Willie John for his 1956 debut. Fever has since been covered by the likes of Peggy Lee, Elvis Presley, Madonna, The Cramps, and many more.
Or, vote for Cry My a River, written by Arthur Hamilton and first recorded in 1955 by Julie London. Barbara Streisand, Joe Cocker, and Aerosmith are among the many artists who have since recorded versions of this classic torch song.
