What is WESU?

WESU is one of the nation’s oldest, continually broadcasting, non-commercial/college radio stations. Located at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT, WESU is one of the few free-form stations that encourages a partnership between both students and community members. WESU broadcasts at 88.1 FM and can be heard throughout Connecticut. Streams of the current broadcast can be heard on the WESU website. Extensive information on WESU, including community forums, program schedules, and station history can be found on the website as well.

What music does Wonderland feature?

In embracing the free-form ideology of WESU, Wonderland is not tied specifically to any one genre. By recognizing that good music is not the sole province of any one decade, the show features music from established pioneers as well as debuts from new artists. Comedy that tickles DJ CheshireCat’s fancy may surface as well, as a little absurdity never hurt anyone, unless it was tied to a sledgehammer.

Who is DJ CheshireCat?

Abandoned by wolves in a metropolitan area, DJ CheshireCat was raised by a vinyl collection of The Moody Blues. Sometime after that, she went to Wesleyan University. Sometime after that, she graduated. Sometime after that, she took to referring to herself in the 3rd person and returned to Wesleyan as a community volunteer and DJ at WESU.
